Income Tax Associate – Private Wealth Practice Group (Miami, FL)
About the Role: A prestigious Private Wealth Practice group is seeking a 2nd-5th year Income Tax Associate to join its growing Miami team. This practice supports high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices by providing sophisticated income tax, estate and gift tax, and business planning services. The successful candidate will have expertise in complex income tax planning, including partnership taxation and transactional matters involving closely held or family businesses.
Additional experience in foreign inbound taxation, IRS controversies, and domestic or foreign trusts is highly desirable. The role also requires flexibility to work on diverse private wealth issues and a strong commitment to writing and speaking on key topics relevant to the firm’s clientele.
Responsibilities:

Advise on complex income tax planning, focusing on partnership taxation and family business transactions.

Support clients with foreign inbound tax planning, IRS controversies, and trust-related matters.

Collaborate on multidisciplinary private wealth issues and contribute to thought leadership.

Provide personalized legal strategies tailored to the unique needs of high-net-worth clients.
Qualifications:

2–5 years of income tax planning experience, preferably with a focus on partnership and transactional tax issues.

Strong academic credentials with a tax-focused education.

Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.

Florida Bar admission required; New York Bar admission is preferred.

Experience with an Am Law 100 firm is a plus.
